MAINTENANCE OF YOUR HARDWOOD FLOOR

 

How to take care of my new hardwood floors:

 

• Remove any sand or grit with a dust mop or a vacuum with a soft bristle brush.

• Never use water only to clean your wood floor. Instead, you may mix water with an oil soap product such as Murphy's Oil Soap to clean your woodfloor.

• You can always protect high traffic areas by using floor mats or rugs.

• Wipe up spills and accidents immediately and clean with Squeaky Hardwood Floor Cleaner.

• Always use floor protectors under furniture legs.

• As wood is a natural fiber, changes in the level of relative humility in the home, will case it to shrink or expand.

• Shrinkage and expansion is normal. 

• To avoid shrinkage or expansion, use an appropriate ventilation, humidification and dehumanization system.
